The Lakes, Cotswolds
It would be impossible to summarise the wealth of activities offered by the Cotswolds.
Nearby Lechlade is a pretty village, located at the source of the River Thames. It is known for its antique shops, friendly pubs and restaurants. We recommend the local Lechlade butcher for delicious meat and fresh local produce. The village also has a small post-office, a supermarket, a garden centre and a gas station.
Nearby Burford is our favourite Cotswolds medieval village, with streets lined with old houses and cottages and a beautiful Parish Church built from the wealth of the wool trade.
Other activities within short driving distance from The Lakes include several golf-courses, horse-riding stables, cookery schools, and centres specialised in gliding, water skiing, sailing, river cruises and clay pigeon shooting.
The Lakes by Yoo is set in 650 acre of woodland around 6 lakes. It is a private community where nature and design work in harmony to provide the ultimate rural retreat and lifestyle.
There are over 15 kms of lakeside bike trails and walkways around the estate. Favourite activities for guests include biking, kayaking, sailing, swimming and fishing.
The Club House is the centre of the Lakes community with a 20-meter heated indoor swimming pool, children pool, sauna, steam bath, well-equiped gym, pool table and complementary teas and coffees. The Club House is open to guests from 2pm to 5pm every day, after an introductory welcome tour by the Spa Manager on your first day.
Around the estate, guests can enjoy two tennis courts, football pitch, playground, mini zip-wire, tee pees, tree houses and many more activities including the resident pet rabbits and chickens, producing fresh eggs for the guests to enjoy.
